Sam Houston bounced back Sunday to defeat the Cardinals 5-3 and earn their sixth Southland Conference series victory in six tries. Three of the Bearkats' six league series wins have been sweeps.
With a 25-10 overall mark, Sam Houston holds down first place in the Southland Conference, having won 15 of their 18 league games.
Sam Houston's next action is a home game Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Don Sanders Stadium with the Houston Cougars
