Bearkats remain No. 29 in NCBWA poll

After taking two games from Southeastern Louisiana and
winning the Southland Conference, the Sam Houston State baseball team remained
ranked in the NCBWA poll.
The Bearkats position didn't change this week as they held steady at No. 29.
The Kats have been ranked as high as No. 20 this season, and have now been ranked for eight straight weeks by at least one of the four major college baseball polls.
On Sunday SHSU beat SLU 8-3 to clinch the Southland Conference title outright. It is the first regular season championship for the Bearkats since 1989.
This week they will play No. 4 Rice on Tuesday at home in the final game at Don Sanders Stadium this season. They will then travel to Central Arkansas to wrap up the SLC regular season this weekend. The Southland Conference Tournament will be May 23-26 in San Marcos.
