Newcomers Pitch First Fall World Series Game

Freshman Dylan Ebbs pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, as the Orange Team took game one of the SHSU Fall World Series, 6-4.
Ebbs, from Santa Fe, Texas, struck out two and walked one while just three of the four runs were earned.
Redshirt freshman Jordan Church closed out the game by pitching the final 2/3 innings, striking out one.
Sam Odom got the start for the Black Team and gave up three runs in four innings of work. He struck out three and walked two.
Junior transfer Nolan Riggs tossed two innings and struck out two, while allowing three runs (two earned).
Another junior transfer, Ryan Brinley opened the scoring with an RBI double in the second inning. Redshirt freshman Hunter Courson drove in two runs and scored one. Senior Luke Plucheck had one RBI and one run scored.
