Central Missouri Invitational This Weekend

The event, hosted by No. 1 ranked Central Missouri, will be held at the AMF Pro Bowl Lanes in North Kansas City, Missouri.
The Sam Houston women's bowling team heads to Bessemer, Ala., this weekend to compete in the Holiday Collegiate Classic.
With only two regular season tournaments left on the Bearkats' schedule, Sam Houston head coach Brad Hagen is looking for his team to be ready for a final stretch run in the squad's bid for an NCAA Championships berth.
"We've had a successful season so far and put ourselves in a good position going into the final month of the regular season," Hagen said. "Both of our remaining three tournaments feature strong fields with ranked teams. We've got to take care of business."
Besides the No. 1 Mules, ranked opponents the Bearkat could face include No. 3 Nebraska, No. 4 Arkansas State, No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 6 Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 13 Stephen F. Austin and No. 15 Valparaiso.
So far this season, the Kats stand 1-2 against UCM, 1-1 with Nebraska, 5-2 versus Arkansas State, 1-4 with Vanderbilt, 1-3 versus Stephen F. Austin and 6-1 against Valparaiso.
Unranked teams in the event include Alabama-Birmingham, Texas Southern, Louisiana Tech and Elmhurst.
Sam Houston brings an 81-25 season dual match record into the tournament. Sam Houston is 28-17 against teams that have been ranked among the top 20.
The Bearkats have won five tournament titles this year and were the runners-up in the Holiday Classic at Bessemer, Ala, in their last outing.
During the fall semester, the Kats won tournament titles at the Tulane Invitational, the Alabama A&M tournament and the Track Kat Klash in Huntsville. The Bearkats won the Bowie State Intercollegiate and the Southern Invitational this month.
Following the trip to Missouri, Sam Houston State will complete regular season action with a tournament Smyma, Tennessee Mar 15-17.
