Robert Thompson plays in Senior PGA event

Robert Thompson, PGA club professional and former Sam Houston State all-American and NAIA national champion, competed in the nationally-televised Senior PGA Championship last weekend.
The 74th Senior PGA Championship was held May 23-26 at the famed Bellerive Country Club on May 23, 2013 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Thompson fired rounds of 76-75. He will compete this summer as a full-time member of the European Senior Tour.
Sam Houston's all-time leader in tournament individual championships (11) as a Bearkat in 1979-80, Thompson earned his card at European Senior Tour qualifying. He will begin touring this June. He has been a full-time member of the PGA Tour (1987-90, 1992) and Champions Tour (2007-2011) and is beginning his first full year on the European Senior Tour.
When not traveling and competing on the professional circuits, Robert assists with the development of Bearkat golf team.
