Men Second at Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Zach Cabra leads the individual medalist standings as the Sam Houston State men's golf team is in second at the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate hosted by Kansas State.
Cabra shot a second-round 67 on the 7,486-yard par-72 Colbert Hills Golf Course. The junior transfer set a school record with a round of 62 in the first tournament of the season. Cabra's first round 73 has him four-under going to the final round.
Freshman Klein Klotz is tied for fifth at six over par after shooting rounds of 76 and 74. Senior Albert Miner is tied for 14th after shooting 77-76. Logan Boatner is 24th (77-80-157) and Kyle Hodges is 41st (80-84-164).
The Bearkats are just two strokes back of the hosts Kansas State and have a 14 stroke lead over third place Creighton University.
The tournament concludes Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m. start.
