Men fourth at Jim West

Albert Miner was seven-under par and finished eighth to lead the Bearkat men's golf team to fourth place at the Jim West Intercollegiate hosted by Texas State. No. 10 Virginia dominated the field and took home all of the hardware.
For Miner this is his fourth top-five finish in 2014 and he most recently was individual medalist at the UALR/First Tee Classic. Miner's first-round 67 put him in in great position on the par 72, 7,438 yard TPC Craig Ranch course.
Zach Cabra had a solid first day, sitting five under going into the final round. He finished tied for 16th after shooting a 75 in the third round.
Freshman Klein Klotz had another solid showing finished tied for 29th. He fired a pair of 72s on the first day and finished three over after a third-round 75.
Logan Boatner bounced back from a first-round 76 to shoot a 72 in the second round a 74 in the third to finish tied for 43rd. Andrew Johnson started hot with first-round 69 and finished tied for 60th.
The Southland Conference Championship is just two weeks away, April 21-23, at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney, Texas.
