Tiffany Castillo named All-Tournament

Sam Houston sophomore catcher Tiffany Castillo has been voted to the 2014 Southland Conference post-season all-tournament team.
Castillo hit .363 in the Bearkats' three games at the annual event held this year in Hammond, La., at Southeastern Louisiana's North Oak Park. Castillo accounted for two RBIs and a home run.
Twelve players were selected to the all-tournament squad.
Sam Houston reached the third round, falling to Central Arkansas 1-0 on the opening day, then defeating Houston Baptist 6-1 before falling to Stephen F. Austin 8-6 in elimination play.
No. 2 seed Northwestern State won its second consecutive Southland Conference post-season title, defeating No. 1 seed McNeese State 11-0 in Sunday morning's final.
