Chair back seat installation being completed

The final stages of the new improvements to the west grandstand of Elliott T. Bowers Stadium began this week with the installation of orange chair back seats in sections A, B, G and H.
When work is completed, new orange chair back seats with stretch completely across the top portion of the west grandstand.
The project was initiated this spring to make the west side more compliant with American Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
Other improvements to the West side include the installation of hand rails on the steps in the aisles and make the aisles in the chair back section wider.
“Our season ticket holders are very important to us here at Sam Houston,” Bearkat director of athletics Bobby Williams said. “The improvements to accommodate ticket holders that fall within the ADA guideline, the new hand rails in the aisles for chair back customers plus the opportunity to expand our base of chair back season ticket customers will make the football experience at Bowers even better.”
A special "Season Ticket Holder Pick-Up Party" will be held at Bowers on Saturday August 9 from 7:30 to 10 a.m.
Bearkat fans who already have ordered their season seats are invited to the event which will feature a complimentary breakfast in the Bearkat Lounge while watching the football team scrimmage.
Attendees may pick up their season tickets and their "Orange Out" t-shirt as well.
Sam Houston's football success during the past three seasons has made tickets at Bowers Stadium a hot item. The Bearkats are one of only three FCS programs to earn NCAA post-season playoff berths each of the past three years.
Reserved chair back season tickets are $250. The price includes midfield sideline tickets to the “Battle of the Piney Woods” at Reliant Stadium, one complimentary parking pass at Bowers Stadium, a $100 tax deductible donation to the Bearkat Champions Fund that helps support scholarships for student-athletes and a 2014 premium gift item.
Bleacher reserved season tickets are $100. The price includes lower corner tickets to the “Battle of the Piney Woods” and a 2014 premium gift item.
All season ticket holders earn priority points and access to exclusive events and priority towards purchasing tickets to premium away games, NCAA playoff contests and National Championship events.
