
No. 2 Aggies visit the Don Tuesday night

No. 2 ranked Texas A&M is the next opponent for Sam Houston when the Aggies visit Don Sanders Stadium for a 6:35 p.m. game Tuesday night.
The contest will complete Sam Houston's non-conference schedule for the 2015 regular season. The Bearkats wrap up Southland action with a home series with Lamar Thursday through Saturday.
Texas A&M is 13-0 in midweek action this season, outscoring their non-conference opponents 92-31.
Overall this year, the Aggies are 42-8 and own a 17-8 record in their quest for the Southeastern Conference baseball title.
In those midweek games, the A&M offense has been highlighted by Nick Banks, batting .500 (22-for-44) with 11 runs, three doubles and eight RBIs, and Mitchell Nau, hitting .487 (19-for-39) with 11 RBIs.
The pitching staff has a 2.08 ERA and the Aggies have 126 strikeouts in 121.0 innings of midweek action. Turner Larkins has started 10 of the games, posting a 4-0 record with a 3.32 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 40.2 innings. The bullpen is 8-0 with six saves and a 1.46 ERA in midweek action, striking out 73 in 68.0 innings.
Dating back to last season, the Aggies have won 18 consecutive midweek games. Texas A&M defeated Sam Houston 19-4 in College Station in a midweek non-conference game on March 31.
The Aggies are making their first visit to Don Sanders Stadium in two years. The Bearkats defeated the Aggies 9-8 in their most recent baseball game in Huntsville in 2013.
