The Sam Houston women's tennis team faced outstanding competition at the Rice Invitational Friday at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.
Maddie Mortimore picked up a victory over UTSA in the number three singles flight. All other Sam Houston entries are playing in Saturday's consolations.
Competition also continues in doubles.
