Central Arkansas visits Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Sam Houston women's tennis team returns to Southland Conference action Sunday as the Bearkats play host to Central Arkansas at 1 p.m. at the McAdams Tennis Center.
The Bears, who bring an 8-5 overall won-loss mark and a 3-3 record in Southland play into the match, enter Sunday on a roll. Central Arkansas has won five of their last seven matches. UCA has posted conference victories over Northwestern State, Nicholls and Stephen F. Austin.
Sam Houston stands 6-7 for the year after a 4-3 non-conference loss to Bradley Friday. The Bearkats are 1-3 in Southland Conference play.
The only senior on the 2016 team, Maddie Mortimore from Farnham, Surrey, England, owns a 10-2 record in dual match play this year. Freshman Ema Barkovic from Rijeka, Croatia, is 8-5 at number three this season.
Sophomores Fabienne Gettwart from Dreiech, Hessen, Germany and Carrie Casey from Franklin, Texas, own 6-6 records playing at number one and two singles, respectively. Sophomore Mila Milanovic is 8-6 slate splitting time at the number four and five positions. Sophomore Caitlyn Mitchell from Nhulunbury, Northern Territories, Australia, has totaled five wins in both dual match and tournament play. Khee Yen Wee, a sophomore from Singapore, has two wins at the five and six position.
Following this weekend's home matches, the Bearkats take to the road again, traveling to play at A&M-Corpus Christi, Incarnate Word and Lamar. The Kats' final home match of the year will be against Abilene Christian on April 2.
