Kats postponed, will play Saturday at noon

SUGAR LAND – Due to inclement weather, Sam Houston State baseball's originally scheduled Friday night Southland Conference Tournament game has been postponed to Saturday at noon.
The Bearkats will face the winner of Stephen F. Austin and Central Arkansas, who are expected to conclude their game – which was halted in a lightning delay with the Lumberjacks leading the Bears 8-4 – on Friday night.
Sam Houston's game will follow Southeastern Louisiana and McNeese, which is scheduled for a 9 a.m. first pitch on Saturday. If Southeastern Louisiana wins and Sam Houston loses, the Bearkats will play 30 minutes following the conclusion of the noon game. If both the Lions and Bearkats lose, Sam Houston's semifinals rematch will take place at 7 p.m.
This changes have pushed back the Southland Conference Tournament championship game to Sunday, tentatively scheduled for noon. A win in Saturday's opener would vault the Bearkats into their seventh overall championship game and second straight.
