Football single-game tickets on sale Saturday

HUNTSVILLE – With the Sam Houston football season quickly approaching, and the Bearkats entering the campaign ranked second nationally, single-game tickets will go on sale this Saturday (Aug. 13) beginning at 10 a.m.
Purchases can be made online at GoBearkats.com, by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at (936) 294-1729 or by visiting the West Box Office at Bowers Stadium. The ticket office will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday to accommodate fans.
General admission seats will be available for $18 while bleacher reserved is priced at $23 and reserved chairbacks cost $30. Group discounts are also available for those purchasing 10 or more tickets.
The season gets underway on Sept. 3 as Sam Houston hosts Oklahoma Panhandle State at 6 p.m. from Bowers Stadium. The game will serve as the annual Orange Out game with $10 shirts available at Barnes and Noble bookstore, Barefoot Athletics and BearkatGear.com.
Sam Houston returns home Oct. 15 to face Abilene Christian on Homecoming. The Kats Oct. 29 content against Texas Southern will be Bearkat Family Weekend presented by Bill Fick Ford. McNeese comes to town on Nov. 5 for the annual pink out game presented by Huntsville Memorial Hospital. The final home matchup will take place Nov. 19 against Central Arkansas in what will be Letterwinners' Day sponsored by the Villas on Sycamore.
Tickets to the 91st Battle of the Piney Woods are still on sale. The game, which takes place at Houston's NRG Stadium, will be on Oct. 1 at 3 p.m. The Bearkats have won five straight against rival Stephen F. Austin.
