Kats close Mountain View Collegiate strong

The Sam Houston women wrapped up play at the Mountain View Collegiate with their best score of the weekend, shooting a 293. The score was 14 strokes better than their previous best of the weekend.
The round was the third-best of the day and moved the Bearkats to 11th overall in the 15-team field.
Tori Gatling shot the best round of the weekend for the Bearkats with a 69 on Sunday. Gatling's round was tied for the best of the day and was the second best round of the weekend. She finished 13-over for the tournament and was 45th overall.
Jenna Phillips and Hanna Alberto were the top finishers of the weekend for the Kats. They both finished the weekend at 9-over par and were in 28th place.
The Kats have one more tournament April 2-3 before the conference championships on April 16-18.
