Kats 8th after first day at Ram Masters

The men's golfers currently stand in a tie for eighth place at the Colorado State Ram Masters with one round to play on Tuesday.
The Kats opened play with a 290 on Monday morning and improved by three shots on the afternoon round. They are currently 17 shots over par. The hosts lead field at 13-under par and hold an 11 shot lead in the 17-team event.
The low round of the day for the Bearkats was a 69 by Noah Steele, on the par 70 course. Steele is in a tie for 39th with teammate William Holcomb at 4-over after 36 holes.
Grayson Blunt leads the way for the Kats, sitting in a tie for 19th. The freshman from Kingwood fired back-to-back rounds of 71. He is nine shots back of the lead heading into Tuesday's final round.
Camden DeBonis is 61st after rounds of 72 and 76 and Levi Valadez is in 95th with rounds of 81 and 75.
