Kats enter Sunday in third

The Bearkats had another strong day on the lanes at the Northeast Invitational and will enter Sunday's bracket play as the No. 3 seed in the tournament.

The Kats posted a 3-2 record on the day, posting wins over No. 7 North Carolina A&T, St. Francis College and No. 19 Sacred Heart.

The Bearkats are in position to win for the third time this season and will face Sacred Heart in Sunday's bracket round. Vanderbilt and McKendree are the other two teams in championship portion of the bracket.

Bea Hernandez led the way individually for the Kats with a 194 average and finished 17th overall. Elise Chambers had the high game on the day for the Kats with a 215.
