Softball home opener postponed

HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston State softball team's home opener against Houston at Bearkat Softball Complex scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather in the area.

The game has been rescheduled for Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in Huntsville.

SHSU is hosting the Bearkat Classic this weekend with George Mason, Providence, Loyola-Chicago and Houston Baptist coming to Huntsville. The Bearkats' home opener will be Friday at 4:45 p.m. against George Mason.
