Kats take fifth at Lady Techster Invitational

SAVANNAH, Tenn. - The Sam Houston Bearkat bowlers opened up their spring schedule taking fifth place at the Lady Techster Invitational in Savannah, Tenn. over the weekend.

Sunday the Kats posted a 2-1 record, winning a pair of matches against SFA to take fifth place.Â

They opened up bracket play on Sunday with a win over the Ladyjacks in six games. After falling to Lincoln Memorial, the Kats bounced back and took the fifth place match against SFA, this time in seven games. Â

Individually Denise Blankenzee, finished 10th with a 194 average and a team high game of 232. Syasya Ismail was 13thoverall with a 189 average.Â

For the weekend, the Kats posted a 5-8 record in the six team event, going 2-3 on Saturday and 1-4 on Friday.Â
