Hsieh shoots career low 66, Kats in 3rd

DALLAS - Ting-Wei Hsieh matched his career low round of 66 on Monday in the second round of the Trinity Forest Invitational as the Sam Houston men's golf team sits in third place after 36 holes.

Sam Houston is 1-under on the par 71 course at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, trailing the hosts SMU by 15 shots. The Kats shot rounds of 283 and 284 on the day.

Hsieh sits in 8^th place overall, 2-under for the tournament. After carding just one birdie in an opening round of 74, Hsieh came back strong, shooting 5-under in his first eight holes of round 2, including an eagle on No. 7.

Chad Sewell, who opened his day with an eagle on his way to an opening round 67, is in a tie for 13^th at 1-under overall.

Grayson Blunt posted his second round in the 60's this season, with a second-round 67 and is in 21^st place at 1-over. Jack Randle is in 34^th at 3-over while Bret Gray is in 61^st at 9-over for the tournament.

The third and final round will be played Tuesday afternoon.
