TRACK Kat Klash returns to Houston

The TRACK Kat Klash returns to Houston on Friday as the Bearkats will host 15 other schools, including 10 ranked in the NTCA Top 25. This is the 11th installment of this event which returns to Emerald Bowl, which has served as host for the event for six seasons.

Friday November 5th 9:15am – 9:28 am Team introductions & National Anthem
9:55am - 3:45 pm Day 1 Competition (5 sets of 5gm Baker)
DAY2
Saturday November 6th, 2021 9:30am – 3:30 pm Day 2 of Competition (5-Team GMS)
DAY3
Sunday November 7th, 2021 8:20 am – 130 am 3 Rounds of Bracket (Best of 4/7)

The Venue
Emerald Bowl has been home to some significant events in NCAA history. The very first women's bowling championships in 2004 was played there, where Nebraska beat Central Missouri. In 2006 the championships returned to Emerald Bowl when Fairleigh Dickenson defeated Alabama A&M.
The History
This is the 11th year of the Kat Klash. The first two years were held at Huntsville Lanes. Year three was held at Palace Lanes in Houston. The next six years were held at Emerald Lanes in Houston.
The Kats were the winners of the first two events. In 2013 Arkansas State took the team title while Nebraska won back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015. Sam Houston won in 2016 and Nebraska won in 2017. McKendree won their first Kat Klash title in 2018 and in 2020 Nebraska claimed their fifth Kat Klash title.
Last season's event was held at Time to Spare in Cut and Shoot, with Vanderbilt winning the modified five-team event.
