Playing in her first collegiate tournament since the season was shut down in March of 2020, Alberto took the title at the Texas State Invitational. The win is a school-record 8^th individual title for Alberto. 
 
As a team, the Bearkats finished third in the 15-team season opening event at Plum Creek Golf Course. 
 
Alberto entered the third round with a one-stroke lead and quickly got to work. She opened up her day with four straight birdies and was 5-under for her round after seven holes. She played the final 11 holes at 1-over to shoot a 68 and clinch a three-shot win.
 
Alberto, who led the field with 20 birdies over her three rounds, was the only golfer to finish with all three rounds in the 60's after a 67 to open and a 66 in round two. She finished 15-under for the tournament. 
 
Viera Permata Rosada was the only other Bearkat to finish in the top 20, taking 16^th after shooting a 74 on Tuesday.
