Jones earns All-SLC honor

FRISCO — Sam Houston sophomore Brooke Jones has been selected to the All-Southland Conference soccer teams, league officials announced Monday.

The midfielder from Aledo was named to the All-SLC second team after helping the Bearkats earn a berth to the league's postseason tournament for the second consecutive year.
Â
Jones has been an offensive force for Sam Houston this season. She currently leads the team with four goals on seven shots on goal and has one assist for a team-leading nine points. She had the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on March 21.
