COLLEGE STATION — Texas A&M scored a walk-off run in the bottom of the sixth to hand the Sam Houston softball team an 8-0 loss at Davis Diamond on Wednesday.
The Bearkats (11-22) managed just two hits off Aggie starter Makinzy Herzog, who struck out a career-high 13 batters to improve to 10-2 on the season. Texas A&M moved to 27-11 this spring.

Hannah Scheaffer led the frame off with a single up the middle, and sophomore
Regan Dunn dropped down a bunt for another hit, but the Kats could not string anything else together in the inning.

Texas A&M scored three runs in the first, two in the second and single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
Sam Houston returns home to host Southeastern Louisiana in a three-game Southland Conference series beginning with a doubleheader at 4 p.m.
