Kats rained out again at NCAA Regionals

BATON ROUGE, La. – The second day of the NCAA Womens' golf regional was the same as Monday, a complete washout.

The Bearkats, who were set to tee off at 10 a.m. on Monday never made it out to the course after play was postponed. Shortly after noon, the decision was made to suspend play for the day. They were scheduled to start at 10 a.m. on Tuesday but weather and course conditions once again forced a cancellation for the day.

"It was disappointing not to play today," said head coach Brandt Kieschnick following Monday's round. "We had a good practice round and were looking forward to getting out there. Once we get on the course, I'm excited to see what the girls can do."

The teams are again scheduled for a 10 a.m. start on Wednesday. All teams must complete 18 holes of golf by the end of the day for the results to be final. If the tournament can't be completed by the end of the day on Wednesday, the top six seeds will automatically advance to the NCAA Championships in Arizona.
