Men's golf receiving votes in top 25

For the second straight poll, the men's golf team is receiving votes in the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll.

The Kats, who received 25 points in the preseason poll, had 16 points in this week's round of voting. They are the 10thteam mentioned.Â

The Bearkats opened the season with a win at the K-State Wildcat Invitational. The Kats won in a landslide, topping the hosts by nine shots. Four golfers finished in the top 10 individually for Sam Houston.Â

This is the third straight poll the Bearkats have either been ranked or receiving votes, after closing out last season as the No. 9 ranked team in the country.

The Bearkats will be back in action Sept. 26-28 when they head to Madison, Wis. for the Badger Invitational.
