RIVERSIDE, Calif. — The Sam Houston soccer team lost to California Baptist on the road 6-0 on Thursday in the second-to-last game of the season.
The Lancers (7-3-5 overall, 4-2-3 WAC) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 14th minute when Lourdes Bosch and Lauryn White scored back-to-back goals 30 seconds apart. CBU took a 3-0 lead into the half when Elizabeth Oglesby scored in the 25th minute.
White pushed the lead to 4-0 with her second goal of the night in the 46th minute. The Lancers scored again in the 56th and 73rd minutes.
The Bearkats (3-11-2, 2-8-1) had three shots on goal, coming from
Kinsey Hill,
Kailey Pena and
Pam Murray.
Tatum Krueger had seven saves and
Savannah Hall had six for Sam Houston in goal.
The Kats close out the season Saturday when they travel to Phoenix to face Grand Canyon at 8 p.m.
