ROUND ROCK – Peak Events LLC in partnership with Karbach Brewing and the Round Rock Express are excited to announce the participating teams that will be competing in the fourth annual Karbach Round Rock Classic set for February 24-26, 2023. The event will again take place at Dell Diamond, the home of the Texas Rangers' Triple-A affiliate, the Round Rock Express.
 
The 2023 lineup is set to include the Sam Houston Bearkats, LSU Tigers, Iowa Hawkeyes and Kansas State Wildcats.
 
The tournament will consist of each team facing one another in a round-robin format, with two games played each day.
 
"We are once again excited to host some of the top teams in the country at the fourth annual Karbach Round Rock Classic. It is always fun to have teams come in who are experiencing this event & the city of Round Rock for the first time as it speaks volumes to the reputation that this city, venue, and event staff have built. We look forward to this year's tournament and awarding this year's Karbach Round Rock Classic Championship Belt," said Nathan Wooldridge, Vice President of Peak Events.
 
The tournament continues a trend of Sam Houston taking part of premier pre-conference events. The Kats have played at Minute Maid Park as part of the Houston College Classic three times since 2014 and also took part in the 2019 Frisco Classic held at Dr Pepper Ballpark, an event also hosted by Peak Events.
 
However, the competition will be a fairly new for Sam Houston in its history. The Kats have never played either Kansas State or Iowa and have only ever met LSU once, doing so in the 2013 Baton Rouge Regional where the Tigers pulled out an 8-5 win.

Individual Reserved and General Admission day tickets are available for purchase. Day tickets will include both games played on the same day. In addition, a General Admission Weekend pass is also available. The Weekend Pass will allow General Admission access to all six games of the tournament.
