HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston soccer team will be looking for its first Western Athletic Conference win when it hits the road to face Stephen F. Austin and UTRGV this weekend.
The Bearkats (1-5-1) opened league play this past weekend with a 3-0 loss to Seattle and a 1-0 setback to Utah Valley at Pritchett Field. Sam Houston's match against SFA is Friday at 7 p.m. and the game at UTRGV is Sunday at noon.
The Kats snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Ladyjacks with a 2-1 victory in Huntsville last season which split the season series at 1-1. Sam Houston came away with a pair of 1-0 victories in the two meetings against the Vaqueros last season.
Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.
