LUBBOCK – Sam Houston led after a quarter and was down just five at the half before Texas Tech pulled away in the final 20 minutes for a 93-60 win at the United Supermarkets Arena on Tuesday night.
Sam Houston held the lead until 8:17 mark of the second quarter when the Red Raiders' Ashley Chevalier converted an old-fashioned 3-point play to take the lead. The game was back and forth with the lead changing until the second half when Texas Tech was able to pull away, putting up 52 total points in the half.
Diarrah Sissoko led the Kats on the night with a career-high 15 points, while Dianna Rosenthal and Kaylee Jefferson put up 13 points each.
Raanee Smith finished with six rebounds and Kassidy Dixon grabbed a career-high five boards.
The Bearkats will be back in Huntsville on Sunday to face Texas College at 2 p.m.
