NORMAN, Okla. — Bret Gray turned in another solid round on day of the NCAA Norman Regional at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club on Tuesday.

Gray followed up his opening round a 1-under 71 with a 3-under 69 on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,452-yard course to move into a tie for seventh place. Through 36 holes, he is 4-under 140, which is nine strokes behind Ludvig Aberg of Texas Tech who is 9-under for the tournament.

Gray had four birdies, two on the front and two on the back nine, and 13 pars. His lone bogey came on No. 15, a par-3, 260-yard hole.

The top five teams along with the lowest scoring individual not on an advancing team qualify for the NCAA Championships May 26-24 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
