CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — The Sam Houston men's golf team finished sixth in its first tournament of the season at the Golfweek Collegiate Kickoff at the Dalhousie Country Club.

LSU won the 12-team event at 20-under 844 followed by Missouri (851), Stetson (859), Ball State (865), ULM (867), Sam Houston (871), Oral Roberts (873), New Mexico State (889), UTEP (893), UTRGV (896), UT-Martin (898) and UT Arlington (909).

Bret Gray finished fourth for the Bearkats with rounds of 68, 71, 71 for a 5-under 211. Josh German tied for 14^th with rounds of 72, 72, 73 for 1-over 217.

Daniel Moon tied for 29^th at 5-over 221 following rounds of 69, 75, 77. Samuel McKenzie tied for 44^th with rounds of 84, 69, 73 for 10-over 226.

Gene Chaikangwal shot rounds of 72, 75, 80 to tie for 53^rd at 11-over 227. Ting-Wei Hsieh tied for 66 at 18-over 234 with rounds of 78, 80, 76.
