Kats fall to SFA in three sets

NACOGDOCHES — Sam Houston lost to host Stephen F. Austin in three sets to open the SFA Invitational on Thursday evening.
The Lumberjacks won the match 25-15, 25-12, 25-19 as the Bearkats fell to 6-5 on the season.
Alyssa Fielder led Sam Houston with seven kills, while Lexy Thomas and Hailey Heider each chipped in four. Hannah Baker had 18 digs, and Camryn Weldon had 10 assists and two aces.
The Bearkats return to action Friday when they play Ole Miss at 6 p.m.
