COLLEGE STATION — The Sam Houston men placed ninth and the women were 10^th at the Texas A&M Invitational at the Dale Watts Cross Country Course on Friday.
 
Gudisa Adnow was the top performer for the Bearkats, placing seventh overall on the men's 8K course with a time of 24:21.6. Mario Ruiz finished 18^th with a time of 24:52.5.
 
Kyan Wallace came in 57^th at 25:38.2, while Edwin Rivera placed 74^th with a time of 26:03.0. Wyatt Lehmann came in 85^th place with a time of 26:16.8, and Ace Garcia placed 99^th at 26:56.2.
 
Yovany Portillo turned in a time of 27:00.7 to place 103^rd, and Jacob Zimmerman was 105^th at 27:02.7.
 
Ellie Galan was the top performer on the women's side with a 50^th place finish in a time of 19:22.9 on the 5K course. Nouri Almasri placed 58^th with a time of 19:35.4.
 
Kyndall Scogin placed 71^st with a time of 19:53.2, and Zerah Martinez turned in a time of 20:20.3 to place 81^st. Kristen Wilson finished 96^th at 20:48.3, and Lauren Johansson placed 104^th at 21:35.9. Naomi Green placed 107^th with a time of 21:48.5.
