Hsieh named CUSA Golfer of the Week

DALLAS – Sam Houston's Ting-Wei Hsieh has been named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week, per a release from league officials on Thursday following his efforts at the Bridgestone Collegiate Invite earlier this week.Â
Hsieh finished in a three-way tie for second place earlier in the week at the Bridgestone Collegiate Invite, helping the Bearkats to a second-place team finish in Napa, Calif. at the Silverado Resort North Course. Â
It was his highest finish of the season and second top-10 of the year. Â
Hsieh fired an opening round of 65 to start the week, the lowest individual round of the event. He followed that with rounds of 74 and 71 to end the week at -6 (210), just one shot off the pace.Â
The Kats will resume play on April 6 when they kick off the Aggie Invitational at Traditions GC in College Station.
