INDIANAPOLIS - The Sam Houston women's golf team earned the 10th seed in the Bryan Regional when the Division I Women's Golf Committee announced the field for the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Regionals on Wednesday afternoon.  Â
The Bearkats won the Conference USA crown in their first season in the league, at High Meadow Ranch Golf Club in Magnolia, Texas, back on April 17, to earn the league's automatic bid. Sam Houston will take on a talented field at The Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas. Regional play will take place May 6-8. Â
It is the third consecutive season the Bearkats have qualified for the NCAA Regionals, having participated last season in San Antonio and in 2022 in Albuquerque, N.M.Â
All six regional sites will have 12 teams and six individuals. The low five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site, 156 student-athletes total, will advance to play in the national championships to be played May 17-22 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Â
Championship play will be hosted by the University of Texas, with the final three days of the championships televised live by the GOLF Channel.Â
