- The Kats clinched a spot in next week's Conference USA Tournament on Sunday with its third straight win at FIU. Sam Houston's seeding in the 8-team field will be determined following its series this weekend vs Jax State with the Kats able to be anywhere from seeds 4-7.Â
- Jeffrey David enters Tuesday with a team-best, 22-game hitting streak and has reached in 25 games overall. It is the second-longest hit streak by a Kat this year, only behind the 23-gamer put together by Walker Janek to open the season.Â

- Walker Janek homered in all three games at FIU over the weekend, marking the third time this year he has homered in at least three games in a row. He twice had streaks of homers in four straight games earlier in the season.
