HUNTSVILLE – The Sam Houston Bearkats will close non-conference play and look to regain the Don Sanders Cup on Tuesday when they take on Houston for the third time this season at Constellation Field in Sugar Land.

- Tuesday will be the 177th all-time meeting between the Kats and Cougars.
- The Kats are looking to reclaim the Don Sanders Cup for the first time since 2018.

- The Kats are 15-13 all-time in games played at Constellation Field, including 13-11 in games played there as part of the Southland Conference Tournament from 2013 to 2019.
- Sam Houston is riding a 6-game winning streak after consecutive weekend sweeps of Tarleton and at FIU, its longest winning streak of the season.

- Walker Janek homered in all three games at FIU over the weekend, marking the third time this year he has homered in at least three games in a row. He twice had streaks of homers in four straight games earlier in the season.
