PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Coach Ravon Justice became the third women's basketball coach in Sam Houston history to reach 100 career wins with the Bearkats on Wednesday as the Kats downed Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 78-44, at Clemmons Arena.
Justice, in her eighth year in Huntsville, joins Rebecca Bilsing and Brenda Nichols as the only coaches in Bearkat history to reach the century mark in wins with the program.
The Bearkats (2-1) lead the entire game from the tip with the biggest lead being 37 in the fourth quarter. In true Ravon Justice style, the Kats forced the Golden Lions (1-2) into 31 turnovers, which they converted to 32 points.
Fanta Kone finished with a career-high eight steals and tied her career high with 17 points, while. Pop Inmon put up 20 points, six rebounds and four assists. Whitney Dunn rounded out a trio of Bearkats in double figures with 12 points. She and Blessing Okoh each canned a pair of 3-point buckets with the Kats finishing with a season-best six triples in the game.
