Guo, Jin earn CUSA all-academic honors

DALLAS – League officials from Conference USA announced the 2024-25 Women's Golf All-Academic Teams on Thursday with Sam Houston sophomores Amelia Guo and Grace Jin earning second-team honors for their work in the classroom and on the course.  

  

For consideration of CUSA's All-Academic team, nominees must have 3.75 cumulative grade point average or higher and have participated in at least 75 percent of their team's scheduled tournaments this season.  

  

Guo currently carries a 3.83 GPA in her Biomedical Sciences and has a several of top-20 finishes on the season including her second-place finish at the Bearkat Invitational and ninth place at the Badger Invitational.  

  

Meanwhile, Jin has a 3.77 GPA in Communications Studies and has two individual titles in 2024-25 at the Badger Invitational and the Bearkat Invitational, while also being named CUSA Golfer of the Week after her seventh-place finish at The Ally.  

 

The Bearkats recently concluded its play in the regular season and next will travel to St. Augustine, Fla. for the 2025 CUSA Women's Golf Championships at the World Golf Village. This three-day tournament will begin Monday, April 14 and last through Wednesday, April 16.
