The 54-hole tournament begins with 36 holes on Monday featuring a 9 a.m. CT shotgun start before concluding with the final round on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. CT. The event enters its second year after making its debut in 2025 at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kansas. This year's championship marks the first time the tournament will be played at Wichita Country Club, a par-71 layout measuring 6,127 yards.
Sam Houston will be part of an 11-team field that includes BYU, Eastern Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oral Roberts, Santa Clara, Texas A&M, Toledo and UTRGV.
The Bearkats placed eighth at last season's inaugural event, which was shortened to 36 holes because of weather. Sam Houston finished ahead of Power Four opponents Iowa and Nebraska while also topping in-state foes ACU and North Texas.
Amelia Guo paced the Bearkats with a tie for fourth place after posting rounds of 73-73 (+4). Francesca Sumcad finished tied for 16th at 148 (+8), highlighted by an eagle and four birdies during the tournament. Bomyeong Lee tied for 29th with rounds of 74-76 (+10).
Florida captured the inaugural team title at 13-under par, while Megan Propeck earned medalist honors at 1-under. Eastern Michigan finished second and Kansas State placed third.
Play begins Monday with Rounds 1 and 2 at 9 a.m. CT and concludes Tuesday with the final round beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT.
