It will be the second meeting of the season for the Kats against the Huskies, winning 4-3 in Houston on February 17 in the first midweek game of the season for either team.
Sam Houston is coming off a sweep of Delaware over the weekend, clinching a berth in the upcoming CUSA Tournament. They will finalize seeding after closing the regular season this weekend at Louisiana Tech.

As for HCU, Tuesday will serve as the final tune-up for the Huskies as they enter the first weekend of the Southland Conference Tournament beginning Thursday. HCU closed the regular season last weekend by dropping two of three games at home to Lamar and go into the SLC Tournament as the No. 8 seed where they will meet No. 1 Southeastern Louisiana in Day 1 of the Hammond Bracket.
