Hurrion Claims Individual Title at Red Raider Invitational

LUBBOCK — Sam Houston women's golf finished fifth out of 12 teams at the Red Raider Invitational, led by Isabelle Hurrion's first collegiate tournament victory.
Hurrion claimed the individual title at 6-under par, winning by four strokes after carding rounds of 69-71-70. She opened with four birdies in the first round, followed by two birdies in the second round before closing with four more birdies in the final round.
Pureun Kim finished tied for 25th at 11-over par after rounds of 78-74-75. Kim recorded two birdies in each of the final two rounds.
Amelia Guo placed 33rd at 13-over par with rounds of 75-75-79. She recorded five birdies across the three rounds and posted matching scores in the opening two rounds.
Bomyeong Lee finished tied for 46th at 17-over par after carding rounds of 80-75-78.
Vicky Renzi finished 59th at 29-over par with rounds of 80-79-86.
The Bearkats return to action Oct. 5 at the PD Intercollegiate in Wichita, Kansas. The tournament will be hosted by Oklahoma at Wichita Country Club.
