Andrew played in every event in the SHSU Top 5 and posted 3 top 10 finishes with two Runner-up finishes for the season . . . 2nd at Sam Hall Intercollegiate firing -11 with rounds of 69-68-65 and 2nd at Southland Conference Championship with rounds of 73-71-72 . . .t-10th at Pepperdine Southwestern Jones Invitatational with rounds of 70-74-71 . . . t-22 at Border Olympics with rounds of 74-69.

2014-15: Finished 12^th at Southland Conference tournament as a sophomore … posted three top 10 finishes on the way to 73.74 stroke average playing in every event in 2014-15 … top performance was 70-73-68 — 211 for 9^th place at New Mexico State event … finished 39^th at NCAA Regional after shooting 75-76-70 – 221 from Washington’s Olympic Course at Gold Mountain. 

UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON
Ertel’s freshman season with the Houston Cougars he posted three top-15 finishes including a ninth place performance in Sam Houston’s 2012 Harold Funston Invitational at Raven Nest … also placed high in the Rice Intercollegiate and the HBU Husky Invitational.

THE WOODLANDS HIGH SCHOOL
Ertel was a four-year letterman for head coach Steve Cribari at the Woodlands where he received the Highlighted Highlander Award … runner-up at the AJGA Signsational Signs Junior at The Woodlands and earned numerous AJGA top-15 individual finishes … 2012 USGA US Junior Amateur Championship qualifier … senior season he led the Highlanders to the district championship and was a state medalist qualifier after finishing second individually at the regional tournament.

With qualifying rounds of 67-71, participated in 2014 U.S. Amateur at Atlanta Athletic Club … t-10th at 2014 Texas State Amateur with rounds of 68-71-71-78 … top 10 at 2013 Texas State Amateur … t-16th at 2014 Greystone Invitational finishing even par for event … t-24th at 2014 Oglethorpe Invitational with rounds of 72-65-72 … participated in 2014 Texas State Open.
