Erin Brown of Davison, Michigan, returns back to the Bearkats with three year of NCAA Division I play officially in the books, her third varsity letter, and even more gained experience including 3 NCAA National Tournament appearances that included a final four appearance in 2015.

Brown continues to excel as a student with her academic success at Sam Houston posting back-to-back-to-back NTCA Academic All American Honors in 2013, 2014, and 2015 which concluded her junior year with a 4.0 GPA.

"Erin possesses a lot of strong qualities and her work ethic keeps getting stronger," Sam Houston head coach Brad Hagen said. "Last year was a big transition year for Erin knowing that her role as a senior would entail a lot more indirect responsibility.  Once again I am looking to her to step up and grow in to her own as a senior leader.  I know she can be a serious full time asset to this program on and off the lanes if she can continuously never settle."

Erin’s best showing in 2015 besides her final four appearance was at the third event of the new year at the SFA LadyJack Classic.  Erin posted an average of 202.00 for Saturday’s six-game traditional game block which assisted in the Kats going 5-0 that day.  Erin finished the season with a career best in average at 188.83 for (41 games)
