Named Freshman All-America by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and Southland Conference Freshman of the Year after posting 10-2 record with 3.93 ERA in 19 appearances including 13 starts … finished his season tied for first nationally among freshmen in wins (10) and paced the Southland Conference … allowed three earned runs or fewer in nine of 13 starts … went 3-0 against top-25 opponents, picking up victories against Louisiana, Houston and Arizona … in three starts vs. teams who qualified for the NCAA Tournament, logged a 2-0 record alongside a 3.38 ERA and .213 opponent batting average … finished 5-1 with a 3.72 ERA in 10 appearances and seven starts vs. Southland opponents … picked up 10^th win against Arizona on June 4, limiting Wildcats to one run in six innings while fanning three … picked up victories in first five starts of the season including holding Lamar to four hits and one run in season-high eight innings on March 12 … struck out season-high six on May 14 at Houston Baptist.
