All-Southland Conference Third Team outfielder … named Southland Conference Hitter of the Week on April 8 after a week that saw him hit safely and reach base twice in each of the Kats’ four games against Rice and Lamar … hit .304 with 59 hits, eight home runs and 30 RBI … was also 7-for-8 in stolen bases … ranked seventh in the SLC with .541 slugging percentage … ranked second in SLC with 20 doubles … finished season with 13 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games … went 2-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored on Opening Day vs Manhattan (2/15) at RyCass Classic in DeLand, Fla. … had a double, homer and two RBI as part of 3-for-6 game with three runs scored in win at Rice (3/6) … went 3-for-4 with four RBI and inside-the-park home run vs Lamar (4/5) … had walk-off solo homer to cap 2-RBI game in middle game vs Lamar (4/6) … went 3-for-5 with homer, double and two RBI against Houston (4/9) … went 2-for-5 with homer at Stephen F. 2018 Season
Played in 41 games, making 23 starts for the Kats … played first base, in the outfield and at designated hitter … also made one appearance on the mound … tied an SHSU single-game record with five runs scored as part of 3-for-4 game at UIW (5/18) delivered two-run, game-tying single with the Kats down to their last out in the ninth in win at UIW (5/17) that clinched the SLC title for the Kats … finished season with 19 RBI, five doubles and five home runs … three of five home runs were to the opposite field … finished season as one of Kats’ top bats, hitting .339 with four homers and 14 RBI with a .607 slugging percentage in his final 16 games of the year … made a splash early in the season when he went 2-for-4 with a double and a go-ahead two-run homer in the third game of the season to clinch series vs Kent State (2/18) … went 2-for-3 with a double and a pair or RBI in win over Abilene Christian (3/31) … finished 3-for-4 with a run scored and five RBI, including a three-run homer at McNeese (4/29) … followed that by going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a home run at Constellation Field in win over Houston (5/1) … closed regular season by going 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI at UIW (5/19).
Klein Collins High School
A threat at the plate and on the mound who helped Klein Collins to the third round of the playoffs three times ... named first-team all-district while leading squad to three-straight district titles ... hit .375 with five home runs while logging 1.09 ERA and 12-1 record as a senior ... named to the 2016 17u Perfect Game World Series All-Tournament team as a member of the Banditos after finishing 5-for-15 (.333).
