2018 Season
All-Southland Conference second team selection … finished season with 58 catches for 1,063 yards and five touchdowns … was one of only two 1,000-yard receivers in the Southland Conference … became only the fourth player in FCS history to put up 1,000-yard receiving seasons as a freshman, sophomore and junior … turned in six 100-yard receiving games, including each of the last four games of the year … finished with exactly 500 yards on 24 catches with four touchdowns in the final four games of the year … each of five touchdowns in 2018 went for at least 37 yards … hauled in an 88-yard touchdown catch as part of a 140-yard day against Abilene Christian (11/10), the longest reception of his career and tied for the sixth-longest in SHSU history … the catch was also the longest by a Bearkat since 2006 … he also had a 75-yard touchdown at Incarnate Word (11/3) as part of a day that included seven catches, a season-high 157 yards and two scores … had seven catches for 120 yard in season-opening win over Prairie View (9/8) … also had eight catches for 113 yards at Nicholls (9/22) … had four catches for 87 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown, in win over Stephen F. All-SLC first team wide receiver … STATS FCS all-America first team … AP all-America third team … HERO Sports all-America first team … led FCS with 1,648 total receiving yards, a mark that is also a Sam Houston State single-season record … was third in FCS with 117.7 receiving yards per game … was tied for fourth in FCS with 14 touchdown receptions … is only Bearkat in history with multiple 1,000-yard receiving seasons … hauled in a 54-yard touchdown pass vs UIW to surpass the 1,000-yard mark and become the fastest Kat in history to reach 2,000 career receiving yards, doing so in just 21 games … had seven 100-yard receiving games … had 15 catches of 40 yards or more, five of which went for touchdowns … preseason all-SLC first team choice … named SLC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 25 after catching seven passes for 147 yards and two scores in a 66-17 route of nationally-ranked Nicholls … had a season-high 247 yards on eight catches that included a season-long reception of 64 yards to set up the game-winning touchdown on Sam’s final drive against Northwestern State (10/14) … the 247 yards receiving was the fifth most by an FCS receiver in a single game in 2017 … had three touchdowns and 164 yards receiving at Central Arkansas (9/30) … caught 10 balls for 198 yards and three scores in a win over Houston Baptist (11/18) to close the regular season … also had seven catches for 180 yards and a score in FCS Playoff win over South Dakota (12/2) … caught a touchdown and had 83 yards in FCS quarterfinal win over Kennesaw State (12/9) … scored lone touchdown for the Kats in FCS semifinals at North Dakota State (12/15), finishing with 80 yards receiving.

Southland Conference Freshman of the Year … all-Southland Conference first team … Jerry Rice Award finalist (national freshman of the year … first team freshman all-America by HERO Sports … set Southland Conference record with 268 yards receiving to go with 12 catches and three touchdowns in 56-43 win over McNeese (11/5) … finished season with 52 catches for 1,004 yards and 12 touchdowns … became first freshman 1,000-yard receiver in Bearkat history … led all freshmen nationally in touchdowns and receiving yards … finished 12th nationally among all players with 19.3 yards per reception … his 12 touchdowns ranked tied for 9th nationally among all players … had breakout game against Stephen F. Austin in the Battle of the Piney Woods, catching five passes for 183 yards and two scores (10/1) … had five catches for 129 yards and two scores against Abilene Christian (10/15) … had at least one touchdown in seven games on the season.
