Robinson enters her first season with the SHSU softball team. As a volunteer assistant, Robinson will instruct the Bearkat catchers as well as the hitters and infielders.
Robinson comes to SHSU after serving as a graduate assistant at Angelo State University during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Before graduating with a Master’s degree in Coaching, Sport, Recreation and Fitness Administration in 2018, she helped coach the Rambelles to a second-place finish at the 2017 DII National Championship Tournament, a 2018 DII National Tournament appearance and was a part of the 2017 and 2018 Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.
A former Rambelle herself, Robinson was a four-year starter on the ASU softball team from 2013-2016. She left the program with a .286 career batting average and .955 career fielding percentage over 177 games. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
A native of Hitchcock, Texas, she was a two-time state champion at O’Connell College Preparatory High School and was named to the O’Connell Sports Hall of Fame for her efforts in softball and basketball.
