Summary

Biography

Kimi Davidson from Azle, Texas was the first bowler ever to sign with Sam Houston's NCAA Division I bowling program and returns to the nationally ranked Bearkats as a three-time varsity letter athlete as well as coming off a personal career best season with second team NTCA All-American honors.

"Kimi has made a tremendous impact to this team's success over the last three years and I am looking to her to officially make an everlasting impression on this program as a senior leader," head coach Brad Hagen said. "Kimi provides consistency, will, and a passion for this game, university, and program, that any coach in the nation would be more than proud of.  She has truly blossomed into a smarter, more determined, and very versatile player because of it all."

Davidson set the single season record last year with five All-Tournament team selections and three MVP honors.  However, her success was just as impressive off the lanes as she once again earned NTCA Academic All-American honors.

"I am truly looking at her as a senior to take control not only of her own destiny but assist this team in its own," Hagen said. "Kimi's got all the assets to be successful it’s just about putting everything together, believing in her abilities, and not settling for anything less than what she’s capable of.”

Kimi finished her junior season averaging a team high 206.80 for 56 games (over a 10% increase from her sophomore season 2011-2012) with her best event being at the Southern ITRC Invitational where she averaged 236.60 to help lead the Bearkats to a first place finish overall and the Kats season team best fifth tournament title of the season.
